Okay…here we go again.  Another Spring is on its way and another BYC Spring Party is planned.  Sunday, March 19, Captain Bill’s from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  For reservations, please call Tom and Chris McGowan at 587-0677, Jack and Yvonne Albanese at 321-4468, or Dick and Kate Patwell at 587-4206.  The price is $45 per person which includes all you can eat and drink.  It’s a nice way to get reacquainted with your BYC friends.  Hope to see you all there.

 

Below is a schedule of 2006 events.  Watch your newsletters for prices and who to call for reservations.  If you ever have any questions, you can check out the BYC Website, check with the Manager, ask a friend, or call an officer.  There is never any reason for anyone to feel that they couldn’t find out about an event.

The 2006 regatta committee is looking forward to carrying on the BYC’s successful racing program. However, these continued successes come from only one source – participation of our membership.  While we’re still in the short but not so cold days of winter, we have been working on finalizing our regatta schedule. We have contacted other area yacht clubs and sailing organizations in an effort to minimize conflicts and hope to have the season scheduled shortly.  Of course with a schedule comes the need for member participation in the way of cheap free labor.  Oops! I meant highly trained, dependable individuals or families to run races, make sandwiches, and sell t-shirts and all kinds of other detail-orientated duties.   Don’t worry if your knowledge of sailing or racing is limited we just need warm bodies who are willing to work.  And not too worry we will make it fun!!

Late Update-

On Saturday April 1st @ 0930 at the BYC we’ll have a Regatta Meeting for those interested.  We’ll review the 2006 schedule and look for input from members on the One Design & PHRF venues.  This is an excellent opportunity and the only chance before the season to let the Regatta Committee know how we can improve the BYC’s program.

The schedule for 2006 is posted on the site as is the last newsletter.  We hope to be able to publish current comments and post pictures from recent parties or events on another page when the season starts.  Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
